After having recently received an electric scooter for handicapped persons, the Loudoun VFW Post 1177 turned to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center to identify a veteran in need of a scooter. On May 29, VFW 1177 Comrade Steve Hood loaded the scooter into a wheelchair van loaned to him by his neighbors, VFW 1177 Comrade Bill Tihansky and his wife, Nancy, and delivered the scooter to the veteran’s home in Martinsburg, WV.  The Army veteran, Dozier Young, gave his sincere thanks to Post 1177, saying the scooter will provide him with much-needed freedom to attend large venue events and shop at large box stores.  Loudoun VFW Post 1177, we can and DO make a difference!
