Dennis Boykin

Dennis Boykin enlisted in the US Navy from East Lyme, CT in 1973. Following a 4 year assignment as a combat photographer and H-3 Sea King crew chief aboard the USS Independence and then at North Island Naval Air Station, he mustered out in San Diego, CA and enrolled at the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelors in Business Administration while serving in the 2nd Battalion, 180th Field Artillery, Arizona Army National Guard. He was commissioned in U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Field Artillery Corps. Dennis also holds a Master's in Business Administration from Webster University.
During the 1980's, Dennis served as a Forward Observer, Battery XO, Battalion Fire Direction Officer (FDO), and Battalion Adjutant with the 1st Infantry Division. Following the Armor Officers Advanced Course, he was assigned as a Battalion Fire Support Officer with 4th Battalion, 69th Armor, 3rd Infantry Division. He deployed with the 6th Battalion, 41st Field Artillery to Operations Desert Shield / Desert Storm as a Battalion FDO, where he supported 2nd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment during the Battle of 73 Easting. He commanded Battery C, 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery (8", SP) at Francois Kaserne in Hanau, Germany and commanded Headquarters Battery, First Armored Division Artillery in Baumholder, Germany. Dennis finished his career as the Chief of Scenarios & Wargaming at US Army Training & Doctrine Command Analysis Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Dennis has been awarded the Army Achievement medal several times, the Army Commendation Medal several times, the Meritorious Service Medal following his 2nd battery command, several foreign nation awards, several overseas service medals, the National Defense Service Medal (1OLC), and the Bronze Star for actions during Operation Desert Storm.
Dennis has held the office of Post Judge Advocate since 2010, and Post Motor Officer since 2012
