Radigan Marleen
Post 1st Year Trustee - Air Force

Marleen Radigan Is originally from Reston, Virginia. As a teenager, she worked as an assistant for
Dominion Bank and Congressman Frank Wolf. She enlisted in the Air Force in 1986 as an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) mechanic.
 
After 8 months of technical school at Chanute AFB, Illinois, she was stationed at Royal Air Force (RAF), Mildenhall in Suffolk, England, with the 513 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Mildenhall supported the SR-71 Blackbird, Awax, and many cargo jets including the largest; C-5.
After her deployment in England, she was transferred to Dover AFB, Delaware, where she was assigned to the 436 th Component Repair Squadron (CRS).
 
During Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Marleen was deployed to Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and worked at King Abdulaziz Air Base. She was then deployed to the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and United States Fifth Fleet in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She was also deployed to Camp Doha Army Base in Kuwait Bay, Kuwait, and was the sole USAF AGE mechanic at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
While stationed at Dover AFB, Marleen temporarily transferred to the Civil Engineering Squadron for three months during routine rotations. She also worked a rotation at the base morgue which receives all Americans that have fallen overseas.
 
Marleen was honorably discharged in 1997.
 
After discharge Marleen worked for a college full-time and attended classes part-time. She earned her degree in Computer Science graduating Suma Cum Laude.
 
Marleen moved back to Virginia in 2009 with her children and currently works for an investment
company in Arlington, Va. She resides in Sterling with her youngest son.
